Risk Severity Fields

The table below lists the fields of the Risk Severity form and provides utilization guidelines for each field.

Field Label Utilization Guideline
Name

The Name field is used to enter the name of the risk severity. Ideally the name of a risk severity consists of a single word, such as “High”.

Description

The Description field is used to enter a very short description of the risk severity, for example “Consequences of a Materialization are Severe”.

Disabled

The Disabled box is checked when the risk severity may not be related to any more risks.

Reference

The Reference field is automatically set to the Name field value, written in lowercase characters and with all spaces replaced by the underscore character. This reference can be used to link the risk severity to a risk using the 4me REST API or the 4me Import functionality.

The reference no longer gets updated if the risk severity is linked to one or more risks.

Information

The Information field is used to add any additional information about the risk severity that might prove useful, especially for risk managers when they need to decide which risk severity to select for a risk.

This field allows basic text formatting.

Attachments

The Attach file… link is used to attach a file to the risk severity. Multiple attachments can be added to a risk severity.

Risks

The Risks table field lists all the risks to which the risk severity is linked.
