Project Task

A project task is an assignment that is part of a project. There are two different types of project tasks:

  • Activity tasks – Used to assign project-related work to people.
  • Approval tasks – Used to collect the necessary approvals for a project.

Apart from these two project task categories, it is also possible to add milestones to a project. A milestone is a project task that cannot be assigned to anyone and does not have a duration.

The tasks of a project can be linked together to form a workflow. The workflow ensures that successor tasks are automatically assigned after their predecessors have been completed successfully.

Only the manager of a project is able to manually add tasks to the project. A manager of a project must have the Project Manager role of the account to which the project belongs.
